The event, coordinated by Dominique Lapierre in collaboration with Catherine Lamy, Andr\u00e9anne Sicotte and Marie-Eve Paradis, PhD, began with presentations on the challenges of human reasoning and the distinction between true and false.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nadia Naffi impressed participants by creating a live audio deepfake in less than a minute, demonstrating the speed and ease with which such manipulations can be produced. She went on to discuss the crucial role of librarians in the fight against AI-fueled misinformation, highlighting their responsibility as experts in detection, education and protection.
